Made In West Flanders shines a light on the expansion of Lamett’s commercial premises in Belgium and at its Morava Wood subsidiary in Unicov (Czech Republic).
Lamett profiles itself as a European player (operating in twenty countries) and, besides the four branches in Belgium, has also had fully-fledged branches in Central Europe (Unicov in the Czech Republic) and in northern China since 2016.
In Deerlijk in Belgium, a new inspiration centre is currently being built. This centre is aimed at welcoming and providing information to customers, architects and consumers in optimal conditions. Training sessions can also be held, in which the 'floor' aspect is part of a larger whole. Recently, Lamett also purchased all the adjacent buildings around the site in Deerlijk. This means that the Lamett site will now extend from the expressway to the E17 motorway.
Since 2016, Lamett has also been active in the Czech Republic. We have a large parquet production facility there – in fact, one of the most modern in Europe. The site has a total surface area of 110,000m², including a large sawmill, drying ovens, etc. There are currently 144 people working for Lamett in the Czech Republic. There, too, we recently purchased additional buildings and land. We believe that it is important to be prepared for the future.
