Wood discolours under the influence of direct sunlight. If you lay a rug or carpet on a parquet floor, it will always mark itself on the floor over time. Make no mistake: this happens quite quickly. Once discolouration is visible, it takes a long time for it to fade. So be mindful!
Carpet on a parquet floor with underfloor heating
There are carpets suitable for floors with underfloor heating. Do not use carpets with an insulating effect as this allows heat to accumulate. This causes the floor to expand, shrink or crack locally. But here, too, you must be mindful of discolouration.
